At Roberts & Brown Opticians, we’re passionate about independent eyewear with purpose—and our newest arrival is no exception. Say hello to ARU Eyewear, a 100% Made in Italy brand that perfectly aligns with our mission to offer quality-driven, small-batch collections that stand apart from the mainstream.
Founded in 2019 by architect-turned-designer Daniela Verazzo, ARU is rooted in architectural precision and artistic vision. Daniela’s background in architecture is evident in every line, curve, and intersection of her eyewear designs.
Rooted in artisanal craftsmanship and refined design, ARU isn’t just made in Italy, it feels Italian. Every frame is thoughtfully produced in limited quantities, ensuring attention to detail, ethical production, and a design integrity that can only come from an independent maker. From bold sculptural shapes to understated minimalism, ARU captures the essence of modern eyewear while staying grounded in timeless European sensibility.
The name ARU, drawn from the Japanese word for “sun,” “light,” and “beautiful day”, reflects the brand’s poetic foundation, while the frames themselves tell a more personal narrative. ARU rejects mass-market fashion in favor of timeless design. The frames are sculptural, stylish, and soulfully made, meant to be admired, worn proudly, and lived in daily.
What drew us to ARU was more than just the aesthetic, it was their philosophy. Like us, ARU believes in doing things differently: no mass production, no shortcuts, just genuine design and high-caliber construction. This commitment to integrity mirrors our own values at Roberts & Brown, where each curated piece in our boutique is selected not only for its beauty, but for its quality and story.
By bringing ARU to Roberts & Brown, we continue our commitment to offering eyewear that is different, independent, and meaningful. These are not just glasses, they’re perspectives, crafted for those who see the world through a more thoughtful lens.
